the perfect wedding also now rank very high among the items
which concern brides â€" and grooms alike â€" and which now also
receive almost as much, if not more, attention than even the
dresses and color schemes!
This trend has given rise to a genre in the wedding business
known as destination weddings. Known to celebrities for a long
time, the average American is now taking advantage of the fact
that the Irish Blarney stone, a moss covered castle in jolly old
England, or the Escorial outside of Madrid makes for a wonderful
wedding destination! Sure, celebrities have a lot more money to
spend on their nuptial excursions and it is not surprising that
while many couples would love to explore foreign destinations
for their marriage celebrations, the budget attached to such
outings make them prohibitive for the majority.
Fortunately there are a wide variety of local destinations that
lend themselves as backdrops for the perfect wedding. Taking the
wedding party either just out of town or maybe simply down the
road, there is now the opportunity for any budget to experience
a destination wedding! Wedding planners quite frequently have
established ties with venues that are in high demand by those
ready to say their vows, and therefore even the budget conscious
will find that something is in store for them.
Cruise lines are coming on board with the idea and it is not
unusual to find that an onboard wedding package not only
includes the wedding itself but may even be combined with a
competitively priced honeymoon package which will make the boat
a one stop wedding experience.
Those who do take their wedding on the road will find that the
destinations of choice not only provide the location for their
marriage but also activities for the reception and the days that
follow. When you consider that the size of the guest list at a
destination wedding is usually much smaller than that at a local
wedding, many couples will include their traveling guests in
many of the onsite activities they will pursue.
The rationale behind those opting for a destination wedding as
their sole choice most frequently revolves around a memorable
occasion, such as the location of their first kiss, the place of
the wedding proposal, or maybe to commemorate the first date.
Yet some simply appreciate the idea that they will already find
themselves at the location of their honeymoon and therefore the
stress of travel and the necessity to entertain a large number
of guests is noticeably declined. It is wise to consult with an
experienced wedding planner who will make all of the onsite
arrangements and thus once again limit the anxieties with which
you will have to deal.
